Social media has become the go-to method for disseminating information. Whether that means linking to a new blog post, getting information about a crisis out quickly or engaging with customers (even insofar as dealing with support issues), social media is where companies go before any other kind of media today.
And that means that almost any web project you ever work on ever again is going to require social media icons to refer users to those outlets, or as part of sharing buttons that encourage users to post branded information on their own profiles.
Here are 40 social media icons to inspire you for the job. There have been more takes on these icons than any other, but there’s still plenty of room to move.

Conclusion
Creating brand new icons is often not necessary: there are many sets out there that can be freely used by anybody, and some premium sets that can be used for a reasonable fee. Clients are not likely to mind if it saves you time to work on their website instead of reinventing the wheel, so don’t be afraid to use pre-made options.
