As a developer, you’re likely to be aware that good design is important. Sites that are designed well tend to be easier to use, more likely to received well and shared and, ultimately, more likely to be successful. Icons in particular are important. The icons that you use to indicate actions need to be immediately obvious, clear and recognisable – and badly designed icons can be confusing and can harm the usability of your new site.
But great design and icon work is much easier said than done – it can take a huge amount of time and a fantastic eye for detail to get it right. That’s why we’ve brought together a collection of brilliantly designed, instantly recognisable and incredibly useful icon sets. All of these icons are available to download and use free of charge, although please do check the licenses to make sure that you can use them for commercial projects. We hope you find the collection useful for your next big design and build project.
